We have seen some issues on V130s where it looks like a few lines of dead pixels across the screen. I seen this once before and now a field service guys is saying he has seen it on three PLCs at the same customer, any thoughts?
We've got over 20 Unitronics PLC's here, of them 14 are V130's. I just started to see the displays fail, exactly as you describe. I now have 3 units showing this kind of failure.
Anyone know if we can purchase new display boards. It'd be a shame to throw away a perfectly good PLC because of this?
Based on the claim description, we believes that most likely cause of the failures is a manufacturer defect in the displays. Due to those claims Unitronics replace to a new version of V130 displays to a more resistant against noises and ESD. If you have V130 PLCs with lines of dead pixels across the screen, please turn to your local distrebiutor for replacing the displays under warranty.
